the theory is that Avril committed suicide so the record label replaced her with a girl called melissa, who for the life of me i cant remember her last name and funnily they never mention in any of these interviews etc.. What's also strange is that her parents have been asked to comment or appear in an interview to clarify this, but to this day Avril's parents apparently have always declined. Strange that a parent wouldn't come forward to clear their daughters name.

Billie is correct. She admitted she was triggered. She apologized that it all landed on Katie. And that was as much understanding anyone got in the situation. Because Billie was not afforded the same after they talked. Katie is too stubborn, sometimes. I'm a mom of a young trans person. They have to put up with a level of crap that you can't possibly imagine. So when someone gives them grace and understanding, it means the world, because they usually only get grief. I've put myself in their shoes, and others, like Billie said and it is a wonderful thing to observe and to meditate on. We should all be doing it. She's not perfect. She was young. She gets to be human, too. Instead of throwing shade and immediate judgement, open your heart and minds and just listen to her and think about what it's like to actually be transgender in this day and age. So many people were talking about her using the trans card. Ok, but please stop. Don't reduce it down to a wild card she's playing in Uno. The girl IS transgender. She can't not "play the card." She can't drop it, hide it, put it away for the night, guys. Same as me being a Cisgender woman. It is who I am. Don't rush to condemnation is all I ask of the young ones reading this. I'm old. I can't put that away, either, lol. Though I wish I could. Be slow to jump on anyone's bandwagon and maybe read up a little on the transgender experience from transgender people. And let's all sincerely hope that someone else provides the same grace for you, one day.
